Kenny Aronoff Net Worth: Kenny Aronoff is an American rock drummer who has a net worth of $10 million. Kenny Aronoff graduated from Indiana University in 1976. He studied under the tutelage of renowned timpani player George Gaber. He then went to the East Coast to learn drums in New York and Boston. During this time, he began to focus on fusion and jazz music. In 1997, he returned to Bloomington, Indiana and joined a local band. He played with them in the Midwest for a few years.
In 1980, he had the opportunity to audition for Lou Rawls. However, he had other plans. So he decided to join John Mellencamp’s band. He stayed by his side for over seventeen years, during which time he recorded ten albums and toured numerous times. The mid-’80s was the period when his reputation as a fine studio musician began to reach new heights. He started working with some of the biggest names in the music industry such as Bob Dylan, John Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins, Elton John, Alanis Morissette, Joe Cocker, BB King, Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Puddle of Mud, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Meat Loaf et al.
Beyond that, he was, and still is, a sought-after assistant. So he toured with Chickenfoot (replacing Chad Smith, who had worked with the Red Hot Chili Peppers), Richard Thompson (replacing Dave Mattacks, who broke his arm on tour), Smashing Pumpkins, and more. In 2005, he continued to tour with The BoDeans. As such, he became part of their live CD set “Homebrewed: Live from Pabst”. In addition to this, he plays drums on Avril Lavigne’s CD “The Best Damn Thing”. Now he plays with Chickenfoot, again temporarily replacing Chad Smith.
