He is the son of sports commentator Marv Albert and the nephew of sports commentators Steve and Al Albert. Kenny is the only sports commentator to perform game-by-game for all four major professional sports leagues in the US and Canada (NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB).
On his 5th birthday, Kenny’s parents gave him a tape recorder to practice his broadcasting. He became the official statistician for the New York Rangers radio broadcast at the age of 14 and wrote content for the New York Rangers program at the age of 16. He covers high school sports for the Port Washington News and the Anton Community Newspaper. Albert graduated from New York University with degrees in broadcasting and journalism. Albert played game-by-game for the Baltimore Bonitos, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Washington Nationals, New York Knicks and Washington Redskins.
