Kellyanne Conway is an American strategist, pollster, political commentator and CEO of The Polling Company. She served as Donald Trump’s campaign manager during the 2016 presidential election. Conway was born Kellyanne Elizabeth Fitzpatrick on January 20, 1967, in Camden, New Jersey. She grew up in the town of Waterford and attended St Joseph’s High School. Conway graduated from Trinity College in Washington in 1989 with a BA in Political Science. She completed her Juris Doctorate at George Washington University School of Law in 1992.

Conway’s first job was on a blueberry farm in Hammonton, New Jersey. She worked 8 summers during which she won the New Jersey Blueberry Princess Beauty Pageant and the World Champion Blueberry Packaging Competition. In 1992, Conway was hired as a legal assistant to Richard A. Levie in Washington, DC. She also served as an adjunct professor at George Washington University for 4 years.
Conway started his career as a pollster for the Wirthlin Group, a polling firm. She worked briefly at Lenze Research before launching her own company, The Voting Company, in 1995. Voting Corporation is a major research and consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Over the years, their clients have included American Express, Martha Stewart, ABC News, Ladies Home Journal, and the Heritage Foundation.
Conway was a senior adviser to Newt Gingrich during the 2012 presidential campaign. She was also a staunch supporter of Senator Ted Cruz during his 2016 presidential campaign. Conway was hired by Donald Trump to an advisory position in July 2016. A month later, she was named campaign manager. With Trump’s victory, Conway became the first woman to successfully lead a presidential campaign in the United States. She was appointed as a presidential adviser to the Trump administration in December 2016.
