Keith Emerson (Keith Emerson) is an English musician, composer and songwriter. He was born in Todmorden, Yorkshire on November 2, 1944, to Dorothy and Noel Emerson. He grew up in Worthing, West Sussex, where he studied classical music. Emerson’s first musical instrument was the Hammond organ, which he bought on hire when he was 15 years old. Later he switched to a keyboard and became his instrument of choice.

Emerson formed his first commercially successful band The Nice in 1967. The band is known for combining rock, jazz and classical music. Emerson later purchased the Moog synthesizer and became the first artist to use the device on a tour. In 1970, he and members Greg Lake (Greg Lake) and Carl Palmer (Carl Palmer) formed the super group Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The band signed with Atlantic Records and their debut album of the same name was released on November 20, 1970. Other famous albums include Tarcus, pictures in the exhibition and Brain Salad Surgery. The group was dissolved in 1979 and restructured in 1991.

Emerson’s music has appeared in many movies and TV shows, including “Hellfire” (1980), Nighthawk (1981), Murder Rock (1984) and Godzilla: The Final War (2004). He composed music for the animated television series “Iron Man” from 1994 to 1996.

Keith Emerson died on March 10, 2016, at the age of 71. The cause of his death is being investigated for possible suicide by shooting. Emerson’s ex-wife Elinor and their sons Aaron Ole and Damon Keith survived. His body was discovered by his long-time partner Mari Kawaguchi. Emerson is 5 feet 4 inches tall. He was named the top keyboardist in rock history.
