Kealia Ohai is an American football player for the Chicago Red Stars and the U.S. National Team. She is 5-foot-5 and plays either a forward or midfield position. Her previous team was the Houston Sprints.
Ohai was born Kealia Mae Ohai on January 31, 1992 in Draper, Utah. She is legally blind in her right eye. Her parents are Ben and Cindy. She has an older sister “Meghan” who plays football at USC. Ohai attended Alta High School and then the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She majored in journalism and mass communication.

Ohai played college football for four years at the forward position at Alta High. She graduated in June 2010. She also competed in the 100m sprint and the 4x100m relay. Ohai led the football team to four straight state championships. She was named the NSCAA National High School Player of the Year in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, Ohai played college football at the Tar Heels for four years. They defeated Penn State 4-1 in 2012 to win the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. Ohai was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the process.
Ohai is a member of the US U-17, U-20 and U-23. She scored the winning goal against Germany to win the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Ohai was selected with the second overall pick by the Houston Sprinters in the 2014 NWSL college draft. In October 2016, she made her U.S. debut in a friendly against Switzerland.
In the 2017 season, Olympian played a total of 10 games and scored 2 goals. Her season was cut short due to a torn ACL against the Orlando Pride. She will return for the 2018 season, scoring five goals in 19 appearances. In January 2020, Olympian was traded to the Chicago Red Stars.
