early life: K. Michelle was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1982, formerly known as Kimberly Michelle Pate. She graduated from Overton High School in 2000 and attended Florida A&M University, where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority and became part of the homecoming court during her freshman year. She graduated from Florida A&M and plans to go to law school. In fact, she was admitted to many law schools, but decided to switch to a career in music.
Profession: K. Michelle signed with Jive Records in 2009. She released her first single “Fakin’It” with lead singer Missy Elliot. She released three more singles, which should be part of her debut album that she plans to call “Pain Medicine”. Jive Records closed down in 2011, and the album’s plan was cancelled.
The following year, Michelle joined the cast of “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta”. The first season of 2012 portrayed her returning to the music industry after several setbacks. She is the breakthrough star of the show. After the end of the first season, she signed a number of album agreements with Atlantic Records. The second season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” includes the recording of Michele’s first album “Rebellious Soul”. In September 2014, Michelle released “Love’Em All” as the first single of her second album “Anybody Wanna Buy a Heart?” Released in December 2014. In January 2016, K. Michelle released the single “Not a Little Bit”. This song was included in her third studio album “More Issues Than Vogue”. The album was released in late March.
