Before moving to the US, she starred in the “Dangerous People” series in the UK in 1961. She played a British girl who immigrated to America in the TV series “Fair Exchange”.
Her other credits include appearances in “Balboa’s Bailey,” “Uncle’s Man,” “Gadgets,” “Love on the Roof,” “I Dreamed of Jenny,” “The Great Valley,” “Banana,” “All the Right Noises”, “12 O’Clock High” and “Emily’s Americanization”. However, she is best known for her role in “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” from 1968 to 1973. She became famous for the line “Sock it to me!” which always ended with Carne going through some kind of catastrophe every time she said it. In 1985 she wrote and published her autobiography Laughing Outside , Crying in: The Bittersweet Saga of the Girl Who Socks Me In. It touched on her marriage, drug use and sexuality. Carne married actor Burt Reynolds in 1963. They divorced in 1965, and five years later she married producer Robert Bergmann. That marriage ended a year later. Kahn ended her acting career in the early ’90s. Sadly, Judy Kahn passed away on September 3, 2015.
