early life
Joseline Hernandez was born on November 3, 1986 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. At the age of six, she moved to Florida with her mother Carmen, stepfather Louis and five siblings. Before the family moved to Florida, her biological father died of a heroin overdose. At the age of 16, Hernandez began to undress under the name Sheneliica Bettencourt so that she could feed poor families and ensure that her younger siblings had everything they needed.

In 2019, Hernandez was sued by the luxury Miami apartment building she rented for unpaid rent. Landlord Beach Place Apartments sued the reality star for a monthly rent of $2,056 for failing to pay for her two-bedroom apartment. Beach Place Apartments stated that it left a notice outside the apartment asking her to pay the rent, but she never paid it. She owed $2,375 and the landlord’s legal fees. According to reports, Hernandez’s landlord dropped the lawsuit against the reality TV star. When her landlord decided to withdraw the case, Hernandez had not yet responded to the lawsuit in court.
