Jordan Gross was born in Nampa, Idaho in 1980 and played college football at the University of Utah. He earned All-American honors in 2002 and was a member of the Western Conference first team that same year.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound offensive tackle was a finalist in the 2002 Outfield Trophy, which honors the best interior offensive lineman in college football. The Carolina Panthers selected Gross with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft; he was considered the best, if not the best, offensive line in that season’s draft on the prospects.
