The Washington Redskins selected Jensen with the 37th overall pick in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played with the Redskins until 2008 and then spent the 2009 season with the Detroit Lions near his hometown. After that season, Jensen signed a second one-year deal worth the NFL minimum with the Lions, but as the team whittled down their roster to a final 53 players before the regular season began, he was cut.
