John Schneider is an American actor, country musician and film producer. He played “Bo Duke” in The Dukes of Hazzard (1979-85), “Jonathan Kent” in Smallville (2001-11), and currently plays “Jim Cryer” in The Haves and the Have Nots (2013-) . His records include the albums It’s Now or Never (1981), Too Good to Stop Now (1984) and A Memory Like You (1985). Between 1984 and 1986, he recorded 4 billboard top songs. Schneider was born on April 8, 1960 in Mount Kisco, New York, to her parents Shirley and John. He has an older brother, Robert. As a teenager, Schneider and his mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 17, Schneider played the role of “Duke Bo” in the CBS comedy series “The Duke of Hazzard”. The show was created by Gy Waldron and Jerry Rushing.
