Most recently, Pinette was chosen to host the TV series All You Can Eat, which takes a humorous look at American food, and wrapped up his tour just weeks before his death. He died in a Pittsburgh hotel at the age of 50, just three months after he told his fans that he would postpone his national talk show tour due to health concerns. Pinette had been suffering from liver and heart disease and did not complete an autopsy because both the medical examiner and Pinette’s personal physician agreed the cause of death was a pulmonary embolism. He was well known among his friends and comedians as a talented, very funny, kind and generous man.
