John Henderson was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1979 and played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers. He played in Jacksonville from 2002 to 2009, becoming a force on the defensive line alongside teammate Marcus Stroud. Henderson, also known as Big Hen or Big John, later played for the Oakland Raiders from 2010 to 2011. Henderson played in the Pro Bowl twice, in 2004 and 2006, and earned All-Pro Second Team honors in 2006. He ended his career with 493 tackles, 44 defensive passes, 29 quarterback sacks and 8 forced turnovers in 146 games. He started 125 of them. He made headlines after a pre-regular video of him surfaced online, with Henderson asking a team assistant to slap him. Henderson and his wife Alevia Henderson have four children.
