Pritzker founded Marmon Industries and Hyatt Hotels with his sons Donald, Robert and John’s father Jay. In 2007, the Pritzker family sold a controlling stake in Marmon to Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway for $4.5 billion. A graduate of Menlo College, John began working at the family-owned Hyatt Hotels in 1972. Ten years later, he became managing director and department vice president, but just a few years later, John left the Hyatt Corporation to become a member of Hyatt Hotels. Founder of Ticketmaster.
