Joey Feek is an American country and bluegrass singer, most famously as a member of the duo Joey + Rory. She was born on September 7, 1975 in Alexandria, Indiana, and her original name was Joey Martin. Her father “Jack” is a guitarist, and her mother “June” is a gospel singer. Fick has four brothers and sisters, Jody, Julie, Justin and Jesse. She moved to Nashville in 1998 to pursue her dream.

Fick signed with Sony Records in 2001, but her first album was never released. In the same year, she met’Rory’ and the two got married on June 15, 2002. The two formed the duo Joey + Rory in 2008. They competed in the 2008 talent show Can You Duet and won third place. Later they signed with Sugar Hill Records and their first studio album “The Life of a Song” was released on October 28, 2008. This album performed quite well, the main single “Cheater, Cheater” ranked 30th in the billboard country chart.
Joey + Rory released a total of seven albums, including album number two, his and hers and hymns that are important to us. The duo won the Country Music Academy Award in 2010, followed by the Inspirational Country Music Award in 2011. They were nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Country Music in 2016.
