Joey Badass is an American rapper, actor and member of the Pro Era collective. He is known for his albums B4.DA.$$ (2015) and All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ (2017). His performance credits include the thriller series Mr. Robot. Joey Badass was born Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott on January 20, 1995 in Brooklyn, New York. His mother is from Saint Lucia and his father is from Jamaica. They separated when he was about 5 years old. Badass studied music at Edward R. Murrow High School. He initially wanted to pursue a career in acting.

Joey Badass’s debut studio album B4.Da.$$ was released in January 2015. It reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200, selling over 220,000 copies. The album consists of the singles “Big Dusty”, “Christ Conscious” and “No. 99”. His second album All-Amerikkkan Badass was released in April 2017. The album was produced by Chronixx, Schoolboy Q, J. Cole and Styles P.

In addition to rap, Joey Badass is also an actor. In 2016, he played “Lyon” in the drama thriller series “Mr. Robot”. The show stars Sam Esmail and Rami Malek. It premiered on USA Network on June 24, 2015. Badass starred in the short film No Regrets (2014).
