Joanna Krupa is a Polish-American actress, fashion model and animal rights activist. She was born on April 23, 1979 in Warsaw, Poland, to Steven and Wendy’s parents. Her older sister Marta followed in her footsteps by becoming a model. Krupa moved to the United States with her family when she was five. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois.

Krupa started her modeling career in the mid-1990s. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 20. Krupa has since graced the covers of GQ, Shape, FHM, Inside Sport, Esquire and Stuff. She was named the “Sexiest Swimsuit Model” in the world by Maxim magazine. She also appeared several times in Hugh Hefner’s Playboy. In addition to magazines, she models lingerie for Frederick’s of Hollywood and is a dancer on The Man Show.
Krupa played “Jane Goody” in the 2004 action film Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon. The film is directed by Albert Pion and features Carmen Electra as a guest star. Her film credits also include Planet of the Apes (2001) with Mark Wahlberg, Ripple Effect (2007) with Forest Whitaker and The Dog Problem (2006) with Giovanni Ribisi .
Krupa was a contestant in the 2009 sports competition show Superstars. She teamed up with football wide receiver Terrell Owens. In 2009, she also participated in season 9 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Her professional dance partner is Derek Hough. They finished the race in fourth place. Krupa is currently a judge for Next Top Model in Poland. In 2012, she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Miami.
