Jesse Eisenberg is an American actor and playwright. He rose to fame with roles in films such as Zombieland and The Social Network. Eisenberg was born on October 5, 1983, to parents Amy and Barry in Queens, New York. He has two sisters, Hallie Kate and Kerri. Eisenberg attended East Brunswick High School in New Jersey and then High School for the Performing Arts in New York. He studied anthropology and majored in liberal arts at the New School in New York City.

Eisenberg began working in theaters at the age of seven. His first role was in the musical Oliver! “Oliver Twist” in the play production. By the age of 13, he had become an understudy for hits like “Summer and Smoke” and “A Christmas Carol.” His first off-Broadway appearance was in 2001 in Arje Shaw’s play The Gathering.

Eisenberg’s next big role was as “Lex Luthor” in the 2016 superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He starred opposite Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.
