Jennifer Nettles Net North: Jennifer Nettles is an American country music singer who has a net worth of $20 million. Born on September 12, 1974 in Douglas, Georgia, Jennifer Nettles is best known as the lead singer of the duo Sugarland (with Kristian Bush). Before joining Sugarland, Nettles led Atlanta-based band Soul Miner’s Daughter and Jennifer Nettles.
Her other musical achievements include a 2006 collaboration with rock band Bon Jovi, titled “Who Said You Can’t Go Home”. Nettle’s musical beginnings were performances at school assemblies, her Southern Baptist church, and a community theater in Douglas, Georgia. While studying at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, she formed the Soul Miner’s Daughters band with Corey Jones, who studied classical guitar at the University of Georgia. In 1999, she went on to form the Jennifer Nettles band, which released three studio albums and two live albums. In 2000, the Jennifer Nettles band beat more than 2,000 other bands on Mars Music’s “The Big Deal $100,000 Music Search” to win the grand prize. In 2003, the Nettles teamed up with Atlanta music veterans Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush, and the trio formed a country band. They signed with Mercury Nashville in 2003, and their first album, Baby Girl, catapulted the band to stardom. Kristen Hall left the band in early 2006, and Sugarland became a duo before touring with Kenny Chesney. In 2014, Nettles independently developed and released her solo album That Girl, which Nettles described in an AP interview as the “most intimate and personal” work of her career.
