Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an American actor known for films such as Watchmen and Loser. His TV credits include Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Wife and The Walking Dead. Morgan was born on April 22, 1966, to parents Sandy and Richard in Seattle, Washington. He attended Lake Washington High School, followed by Skagit Valley College. Morgan is a competitive basketball player and captain of his high school varsity team. He dropped college basketball due to injury.

Morgan made his feature film debut in the 1991 crime thriller Uncaged. His TV debut was an episode of the 1995 ABC series Extreme. Morgan was selected for the “Dr. Edward Marcase” series, Burning District (1996-97). He then starred in “John Winchester” in The Handler (2004), Weeds (2005) and Supernatural (2005-07). In 2009, Morgan played Edward Blake, aka “The Comedian,” in the superhero film “Watchmen.” He co-starred in Loser (2010) with Columbus Short and Zoe Saldana. He also played “Ike Evans” in “Magic City,” “JD Richter” in “Existing,” and “Jason Krause” in “The Good Wife.” Morgan is currently playing the role of “Negan” in the AMC horror series The Walking Dead. The show also stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal and Sarah Wayne Callis.
