Born on December 10, 1954 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he started investing in real estate while still in business school. Switching jobs to go to college, Green earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and sociology from Johns Hopkins in just three years, and then an MBA from Harvard University. Guided by his mother’s motto, “Save your pennies, find value, and never pay retail,” Green, a former Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, has managed to increase the number of properties he owns mostly in Palm Beach.
