He is the president and founder of Excel Sports Management, a sports management and marketing agency. Schwartz’s clients include NBA superstars such as Paul Pierce, Kemba Walker, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler, Kevin Love, Jason Kidd and Lamar Odow um.
Schwartz received his Juris Doctor degree from Temple University School of Law. He started working at the International Management Group in 1992, managing Pete Sampras and Martina Hingis. Seven years later, he joined the Entertainer Management Group to form a top-notch athlete department. He founded Excel Sports Management in 2002 and has negotiated more than $1 billion in contracts. He has helped his clients secure endorsement deals with Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, AT&T, Red Bull, Spalding and Kia. Excel also managed Derek Jeter, Tiger Woods, Derrek Lee and Ryan Howard. Schwartz is also a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica and serves on the University of Miami Corporate Athletic Committee.
