He attended the University of North Carolina on a partial baseball scholarship and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. He originally planned to be a Major League Baseball player, but moved to Los Angeles after graduation and decided to switch to a career in acting. He was discovered by filmmaker David DeCoteaur and was flown to Romaina shortly after for a small part in the horror flick Witchouse. DeCoteau’s work at Witchouse was so impressive that he cast Faunt in the lead role in his next film, Totem. Faunt made his mainstream professional debut in Power Rangers: Time Force. He went on to shoot more movies and TV shows, but said that filming Madness was his most enjoyable filming experience to date. He married his wife Stephanie on September 6, 2002, who live in Woodland Hills, California with their daughter. He enjoys traveling, outdoor sports, whitewater rafting and skiing.
