Jamshyd Godrej Net Worth: Jamshyd Godrej is an Indian entrepreneur who has a net worth of $3.7 billion. A third generation in the Godrej family, Jamshyd becomes Managing Director and Chairman of the Godrej Group, a consumer goods group primarily managed and owned by his family.
A graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology, Jamshyd was named a director in 1974 and has been a managing director since 1991. Later, in 2000, Godrej became chairman of the company, which was founded by his ancestors in 1897, a year that made the group the oldest conglomerate in India. Over the years, the company has also become one of the largest conglomerates in India with diverse industries. In 2013, Jamshyd announced that Godrej Appliances had entered into a partnership with Bosch and Siemens to develop a new line of energy efficient refrigerators for the Asian and African markets. Today, together with his sister Smita Crishna, he holds a 40% stake in the family’s assets. In addition, Jamshyd serves on the boards of the World Resources Institute and the Aspen Institute, and serves as WWF Vice-Chairman.
