Anderson has participated in slope, large sky and double slewing projects. She won her first Winter X Games gold medal at the 2007 Aspen Olympics. Her medal count is now 5 times the gold medal, 7 times the silver medal and 3 times the bronze medal. She won the Swatch TTR World Ski Tour Championship. She was named the “Best Female Extreme Sports Athlete” in the 2012, 2014 and 2016 ESPY Awards.

Anderson’s Olympic debut was at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. She won the gold medal in the slope competition. Her second Olympic gold medal was at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics in South Korea. She also won a silver medal in a major aerial event. Anderson has 2 Olympic gold medals and 1 silver medal.She is the first female snowboarder in history to win more than 1 gold medal at the Winter Olympics

In addition to snowboarding, Anderson is also an environmentalist and dedicated yogi. She has also appeared in a few TV shows, such as NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. In season 14 (January to February 2015), she was one of 16 contestants. In the 26th season of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”, Anderson was named a celebrity player. Her professional partner is Latin dancer Artem Chigvintsev.
