After being unselected in the 2000 NBA draft, Udoka played for the IBA’s Fargo-Moorhead Beez in 2000-01 and the Argentine Independence in 2001. In 2002, he joined the NBA G League with the North Charleston Logart, who selected him with the 39th overall pick in the 2002 NBDL draft. In 2003, he made his NBA debut with the Los Angeles Lakers, playing four games with them. He made multiple appearances in the G League and overseas over the next few years before returning to the NBA after joining the New York Knicks in 2005-06. The following year, he joined the Portland Trail Blazers, where he started 75 games and averaged 8.4 points and 3.7 rebounds. In 2007, Udoka signed with the San Antonio Spurs and played 140 games in two seasons, usually off the bench. Udoka played for the Sacramento Kings in 2009-10; he returned to the Spurs in 2010-11, his final season in the NBA. He played another year in 2012 as a member of UCAM Murcia. Ime Udoka has been an assistant coach for the Spurs since 2012.
