Hopsin is an American rapper, music producer, actor and director. He is the head of the independent record company Undercover Prodigy. His records include Gazing at the Moonlight (2009), Knock Madness (2013) and Pound Syndrome (2015). He played a supporting role in the musical film “Fame” (2009). Hopson was born Marcus Jamal Hopson on July 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. He grew up near Panorama City. He has two brothers. Hopsin attended James Monroe High School in North Hills, Los Angeles. Before his music career, he was an avid skateboarder.
