Heather Menzies is a Canadian-American actress, ballerina and model. She played “Louisa von Trapp” in the drama “The Sound of Music” (1965). She has an older sister named Sheila. Menzies spent her childhood in Canada, then moved to Florida, and later to California. She attended Burroughs High School and Hollywood High School. She studied acting at the University of the Arts in Hollywood Falcon Studios.

Heather Menzies passed away on December 24, 2017, at the age of 68. According to reports, the cause of her death was brain cancer. Her three children and several grandchildren survived. Menzies is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and she has Scottish ancestry. From 1969 to 1973, she married her first husband “John Crut”. Her second husband was the film actor “Robert Urich”. Their union lasted from 1975 until his death in 2002. They have 3 children, Ryan, Emily and Allison. After the death of Robert Ulich, Menzies established the “Robert Ulich Foundation”. The foundation raises funds and raises awareness for cancer research/patients.
