Heather Paige (Kent) Dubrow was born in the Bronx on January 5, 1969. She grew up in Chappaqua, New York. She is a fifth-generation American of Jewish descent from Germany, Hungary, and Poland. She participated in a beauty contest as a teenager and was named Miss Big Syracuse in 1989. The following year, she won the title of Miss Consensus in the Miss New York State Pageant. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in musical theatre.

When Heather first moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, she was a performer, singing at the Golden Horseshoe Carnival in Disneyland. I did meet someone there, and together they formed a 14-member band and started touring. For four years, Heather has toured with the band as the lead singer, opening performances for artists such as Mel Torme, Manhattan Transfer, and Dana Carvey.
From 2000 to 2002, she played Lydia DeLucca in the CBS TV series “This Is Life”. She also sang the show’s theme song “Learnin’ As I Go” used in the second season. She also appeared in married children, men with nowhere to go, men who behaved badly, life with Roger, Jenny, early editions, Stark’s crazy carnival and survival in the suburbs. When Heather was 27, she asked a friend who was a transplant surgeon if he knew any Jewish doctors he could introduce to her. She was introduced to plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow through a blind date, and although he fell in love with her immediately, she needed more time. When the couple started their first weekend vacation, when Heather walked towards the plane, she knew she wanted to marry Terry. Three years later, Heather and Terry married in 1999. They have four children: twins Nicholas and Maximilia, and daughters Catalina and Colette. The family lives in Newport Beach.
Dubrow studied at the University of California Los Angeles School of Medicine and also has a master’s degree from Yale University. He went on to complete the general surgery residency training, and served as the chief resident of the Harbour-UCLA Medical Center, and completed research on plastic and reconstructive surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. Heather’s husband is the star of E!’s popular TV series Botched. The show features him and Dr. Paul Nassif, who help people who have had cosmetic surgery errors.
