Gusmarzan Net Worth: Gus Malzahn is an American college football coach and former player who has a net worth of $10 million. Born in Irving, Texas in 1965, Gus Malzahn played college football for the University of Arkansas Razor and later as a wide receiver at Henderson State. Marzan’s coaching career began at Hughes High School, where he served as defensive coordinator and later as head coach.
He coached high school until 2006, when he landed at Arkansas as the team’s offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach. One season later, Marzan accepted the positions of co-offensive coordinator, assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach in Tulsa. Two years later, he started coaching quarterback and offense for the Auburn Tigers. Marzan was head coach at Arkansas State University in 2012 before being hired by Auburn in 2013. Marzan has been in the role ever since. In the middle of the 2014 season, Marzan was 29-8 as a head coach in college and 0-1 in bowling. He won a Sun Belt Championship with Arkansas in 2012 and an SEC Championship with Auburn in 2013. He received SEC and AP Football Coach of the Year honors in 2013, as well as the Paul Bear Bryant Award. Malzahn published his book Hurry Up, Don’t Crowd Together: A Repulsive Philosophy in 2003. He has two daughters with his wife, Kristi Otwell.
