Early life and the beginnings of a car enthusiast
Mark grew up with an older sister. He developed a keen interest in Mopar cars from an early age and spent much of his free time reading car magazines and learning about the many popular Mopar cars of the time. At 16, he bought his first car, a 1970s Dodge Charger with burnt orange and 383 two barrels. Outside of the car, however, his childhood was unhappy, and when Mark was 12, his father contracted cancer. He was mainly raised by his mother, but also had serious health issues that were never really talked about. He also didn’t like going to school, and was underperforming because of the events that affected him. He dropped out of Springfield Jr. High in ninth grade and decided to succeed on his own terms. He started looking for a job, but later decided to finish his high school education by attending a program at Lane Community College.

Automotive business
After completing his studies, Warman regained his original passion for cars and became an expert in restoring old Mopar vehicles with a skill that few others can match. Working at his local garage in Springfield, he slowly built his reputation, starting as a pump jockey and later as a mechanic. He also worked his way into managerial positions before establishing his own auto shop in 1985 called Welby’s Auto Care Centre, which started with three spaces but grew rapidly and made him a fortune.

Ultimately, he intends to showcase his restoration business. The success of similar TV shows due to a focus on restoration and various other automotive work has given him the confidence to move forward with his plans. He founded The Division Productions, which would become the production unit for his reality show. The company spoke with network Velocity and came to an agreement so that Division can retain creative control but still take advice from the Velocity team before episodes air on the network.

Mark created a show called “Graveyard Carz,” filmed in Springfield, Oregon, and his shop and team focused on restoring Mopar muscle cars from the 1960s and 70s. The show has been on the air for six seasons and features automotive experts, including himself alongside Darren Kirkpatrick, Josh Ross and Royal Yoakum. They also have recurring actor Holly Chester, who appeared in seasons two and three. In the fifth season of the show, his daughter, Alyssa Ross, became a regular cast member, and new cast members were introduced as needed.
Each 13-episode season of the show requires approximately 100 days of continuous filming. The entire cast are actual car technicians, and because of the lengths it takes to build the cars, the episodes are filmed while they work. There are usually no cars to show in each episode, but smaller subassemblies are required on the cars. There are often comedy segments on the show as well, with the crew doing their best to film real reactions and capture unscripted shenanigans.
post project
In the show’s sixth season, “Graveyard Carz” was revamped, introducing new formats, graphics and logos. They also refocused on cars and buildings in an effort to lure viewers back to the show. Ratings dropped significantly after the show started focusing on the cast and their day-to-day activities rather than the actual cars. One of the most important restorations on the show is the 1971 Plymouth Cuda, which crashed after the driver lost control. A total of six seasons are required to complete Cuda, with each season focusing on a specific aspect of the restoration. Many didn’t believe it was possible to fix the car, but Mark proved them wrong.
personal life
As far as his personal life goes, Warman is known to be married, although he has not revealed any details about his marriage or his wife. However, his daughter Alyssa has also become a reality TV star thanks to her work in her father’s garage. They have a great relationship in front of and behind the camera. The only detail about his wife is a photo his daughter shared on social media confirming that he is indeed married. Alyssa mentioned that despite the show, her father was a very conservative and private person.
