Armstrong opened his first “Table 8” restaurant in Los Angeles in 2003 and a second in Miami in 2006. Additionally, he is the owner and executive chef of “8 oz Burger Bar”, a very popular restaurant located in several US cities. Later, he opened “Post and Beam” in Los Angeles, serving many styles of Southern cuisine. Nonetheless, Armstrong is the author of several cookbooks, including “Small Bites, Big Nights,” and has appeared as a guest judge on Bravo’s “Top Chef” series and is a contestant on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” .
