Who is Tanmai Bakshi?
Tanmay Bakshi is a Canadian author, honorary IBM cloud consultant, artificial intelligence expert, TED and keynote speaker. Tammy, who is only 15 years old, has successfully delivered speeches to more than 200,000 developers, executives and intellectuals from universities, multinational companies, international conferences and financial institutions around the world, and has appeared in many popular newspapers and periodicals, such as “New York The Times, The Vancouver Sun, The Toronto Star, etc.
Parents and family

Rise to fame
When Tanmay’s father was a programmer, he observed keenly and developed a strong desire to understand what happened to computers and how they performed commands, such as displaying his name. When his father felt his great curiosity, he gave in and taught his son how to program, then Bakshi used the Internet to educate himself on the concept of coding and read as many programming books as possible.
When Tanmay was seven years old, he opened a YouTube channel to publish web development and coding tutorials. Soon after, every video he uploaded attracted countless questions from subscribers all over the world, which made Tan Mei realize the lack of programming knowledge, and he made it his mission to try to reach no less than 100,000 aspiring people. Coders and beginners, and help them in their coding journey. Currently, he has more than 20,000 subscribers on YouTube.
At the age of eight, Bakshi was already a self-taught mobile application developer. At the age of nine, Tanmay developed his first application-tTables-which can help users with multiplication-it has been accepted by the iOS Apple Store. However, over time, his interest in programming diminished. According to him, technology is very limited and things quickly become obsolete, so he turned to artificial intelligence.
It’s an honor to meet @GinniRometty! You are so inspirational🙂

This young man caught the attention of IBM at the age of 11, and they gave Bakshi many speech opportunities at the conference. Although he is not working for this technology giant, he has worked with them on various projects many times, so this AI master has already gained a reputation in the technology industry by virtue of his strength. His IBM mentor is Rob High. Together they hosted many speech events and hosted Facebook Live videos; one of them was at the Artificial Intelligence World in Boston, where the two discussed how to use artificial intelligence for social media analysis.
Tanmay found AI to be very fascinating. He gained fame for his rich knowledge of AI and is always willing to share knowledge with others. He won the “Knowledge Ambassador Award” for his speech at the 2017 Dubai Knowledge Summit. Tanmay is now IBM’s honorary cloud consultant and the same company’s cloud champion.
Tanmay Bakshi achievements
Tanmay, who is only 15 years old, has achieved a lot. He is one of the youngest cloud computing and cognitive developers who have created applications designed to enhance human capabilities through deep learning. In the past ten years, he has learned how to use and apply machine learning in various fields such as finance, banking, medicine and healthcare, chatbots, and music. He is currently writing books and providing YouTube tutorials on his channel to help new programmers achieve their goals.
Before Apple accepted Tanmay’s tTables application, he received various rejections from them, but he perfected the code and the application was accepted on Valentine’s Day. When his school’s public broadcast announced that his app was officially on the Apple Store, he couldn’t hide his joy.
Tanmay is also developing a unique system for people with Rett syndrome to help them speak. They will be able to use it by detecting and interpreting the EEG signal analyzed by the neural network system.
As a young AI developer, Tanmay also uses technology to diagnose the first stage of depression in adolescents and young adults. He best described his project as being supported by deep learning and specifically designed to help prevent youth suicide.
Salary and net worth
Contrary to what many people believe, Tanmay does not work for IBM, although he uses their Watson capabilities to develop his applications, so he does not get any salary from IBM, but makes money from the applications he develops, such as tTables tID Vault, tTable PLUS, tGuess, etc.
During #DIPMF18, Tanmay Bakshi talked about artificial intelligence not intending to replace humans, just because it has no concept of human creativity or imagination @TajyMany pic.twitter.com/NxC2859fmz

He is also working on open source projects such as “Ask Tanmay”, which is the first Web-based natural language question answering system (or NLQA) supported by IBM Watson. Since the project is open source, it is difficult to say how much money he made from it if he does this, but sources estimate that he will soon become a millionaire!
