Glenn Frey is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and founder of the rock band The Eagles. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 6, 1948, but grew up in Royal Oak. Frey finished his high school in 1966 and went on to play in local bands like The Four of Us, Mushrooms and Heavy Metal Kids. He later moved to Los Angeles with his then-girlfriend to pursue music. He became a member of the duo “Longbranch Pennywhistle” and wrote his first songs “Run, Boy, Run” and “Rebecca”.

Frey formed the band “Eagles” in 1971 and released their self-titled debut album the following year. The band released a total of seven studio albums and became one of the best-selling bands of all time, with more than 150 million copies sold worldwide. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Frey made her debut as a solo artist in the 1980s. His debut solo album “No Fun Aloud” was released in 1982. He is known for hit singles such as “The One You Love,” “The Heat Is On,” and “You Belong to the City.”
