One of his most successful works was the 1995 Alanis Morissette album Jagged Little Pill. Ballard co-wrote and produced the album, which won Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Rock Album.
He also co-wrote and recorded Michael Jackson’s album Bad and Thriller. He co-wrote the hits “Man in the Mirror” and “Hands in Pockets” and founded Java Records.
