He was a member of a group called The Four Preps, which went on to release three gold records. Larson wrote many of the band’s hits. Following his singing career, Glenn transitioned into television production. He worked at The Fugitive before striking his own production deal with Universal Studios. When he sold the original idea for the TV show “Battlestar Galactica,” he received a budget of $1 million per episode that was unheard of at the time. The show was canceled after one season. Larson’s first big hit was Quincy, ME, which ran for 146 episodes between 1978 and 1983. Next, he created Magnum PI, which aired 162 episodes between 1980 and 1988. Fall Guy aired 113 episodes. Larson was a TV hit in his heyday. Most recently, he was a producer on the modern-day Battlestar Galactica and spinoff Caprica. Glen A.
