Reeves also played Superman/Clark Kent in the 1951 film Superman and the Mole Man. He appeared in segments of the television series Mystery from 1949-1950 and Kraft Theatre from 1949-1952. In 1960, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6709 Hollywood Boulevard. George Reeves died of a gunshot wound on June 16, 1959, at the age of 45. The official finding was that his death was a suicide, although some believe he was the victim of a murder or accidental shooting.
