The Game is an American rapper, music producer and actor. He was born Jessien Terrell Taylor on November 29, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. His parents were Lynette and George Taylor. He has four siblings, George, Jevon, Sherani and Tiasha. Game spent his childhood in Compton. He spent 8 years in foster care before moving back to his mother’s house at the age of 15. Race attended Compton High School, followed by Washington State University. He was expelled from college for drug possession.

In 2002, The Game released his debut mixtape You Know It Is Vol. 1. The track was such a hit that he signed a contract with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment in 2003. Record producer Sean Combs was also impressed by the young talent. From 2003 to 2006, The Game performed as a member of G-Unit. Other members at the time included 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck. Game quickly rose to fame in the West Coast hip-hop scene. In 2002, he founded Black Wall Street Records under Universal Music Group.
The Game’s debut studio album, The Documentary, was released in January 2005 by Aftermath and Interscope. It is certified 2x Platinum in the US and has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. It featured the singles “Westside Story”, “Dreams” and “Hate It or Love It”. His second album, Doctor’s Advocate, reached number one on the Billboard 200 in 2006. The album was released by Geffen Records. It features guest artists such as Snoop Dogg, Kanye West and Busta Rhymes. The Game was followed by LAX (2008) and The RED Album (2011). His recent work includes documentaries 2.5 (2015) and 1992 (2016).
In addition to music, The Game has featured in a handful of movies and TV shows. He co-starred in “Big Meat” in the 2006 action drama “Waist Deep.” The film also stars Tyrese Gibson and Megan Good. The game then featured “G” in Belly 2: Millionaire Boyz Club (2006). Other notable films include Dream Championship (2007) with Tony Todd, Street King (2008) with Keanu Reeves and Stacey Dash ) Cooperative House Arrests (2012). He starred in the VH1 reality series Married to Games. The show ran 22 episodes from 2012 to 2014.
