Future is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer. His recordings include Pluto (2012), DS2 (2015) and HNDRXX (2017). He founded the record label “Freebandz” in 2011. Future was born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn on November 20, 1983 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also known as Navyvadius Cash. He attended Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia.

Future started his musical career as a member of the musical group Dungeon Family. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the band specializes in southern hip-hop with a certain funk/soul influence. Future’s cousin “Rico Wade” is also a member of the Dungeon family. Wade is a record producer and member of the production company Organized Noize. Future released some early mixtapes such as Dirty Sprite, True Story, and Streetz Calling. He collaborated with rapper Gucci Mane on the album Free Bricks (2011).
Future’s debut studio album, Pluto, was released in April 2012 by A1 Recordings and Epic Records. The album sold over 200,000 copies in the United States. It features guest artists such as TI and Snoop Dogg. His second album Honest was released in 2014. It was led by the singles “Karate Chop”, “Honest” and “Move That Dope”. Future followed up with the mixtapes Monster (2014), Beast Mode (2015) and 56 Nights (2015). His third album, DS2, was released at number one on the Billboard 200 in July 2015. It is certified platinum by the RIAA. Two months later, the mixtape “What a Time to Be Alive” with Drake was released. Future’s other albums include EVOL (2016), FUTURE (2017) and HNDRXX (2017). His 2017 single “Mask Off” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is Platinum certified in the US, Canada and France.
