FKA Twigs is a British singer/songwriter, music producer and dancer. Her music combines electronics, R&B, trip-hop and avant-garde music. She rose to fame with the albums LP1 (2014) and EP M3LL155X (2015). Twigs was born on January 16, 1988 in Gloucestershire, England, his original name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett. Twigs’ full-length album LP1 came out in August 2014. It is ranked 16th in the UK and 30th in the US. It is led by the singles “Two Weeks”, “Pendulum” and “Video Girl”. This album was nominated for the 2014 Mercury Award and the 2015 Grammy Awards. Twigs’ third EP M3LL155X was released by Young Turks in August 2015. It features the production of Boots and Tic. M3LL155X received most of the positive reviews from critics. It is led by the single “In Time”. Other tracks for the project include “Figure 8”, “I’m Your Doll”, “Mothercreep” and “Glass & Patron”. Twigs started with the single “Good to Love” in 2016. She sang the song on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in February 2016.
In addition to singing/dancing, Twigs is also a director and choreographer. She signed with Academy Films, a London production company. Her work includes more than 10 music videos from 2012 to 2016. She released a short video #throughglass for Google Glass in October 2014.
