Fiorenza Cosotto Net Worth

Fiorenza Corsotto Net Worth: Fiorenza Cossotto is an Italian mezzo-soprano (opera singer) who has a net worth of $20 million. Born on April 22, 1935 in Cresentino, Italy, Fiorenza Cosotto is known for her fiery roles in Verdi as Azucena, Amneris, Lady Macbeth and Eboli. Cosotto is also an outstanding performer in the bel canto section (a signature Italian style), such as the role of Rosina in Rossini’s Barbie, Leonora in La favourita and Adalgisa in Norma.

Cosotto graduated in 1956 at the Turin Conservatory (Italy), graduating first in his class, before entering the La Scala training school in Milan, Italy. In 1957, she made her opera debut as Sister Mathilde in the world premiere of Planck’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. She made her international debut as Giovanna Seymour in Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” at the Wexford Festival in 1958. Cosotto was one of the leading mezzo-sopranos in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s, according to Corneman’s book “Opera”. She has performed with Maria Callas, one of the most famous and influential opera singers of the 20th century, among others. The relationship with Maria Callas was tarnished when Callas left after their duet Mira, o Norma. Some have claimed that Cosotto deliberately sabotaged Callas, who sang on Callas with a longer high pitch than is thought to be good. Although Callas died in 1977, controversy and debate continued.
