In 1991, Galchev graduated from the Moscow State University of Mining and Technology.
Galchev has been working in the coal industry for many years, having held executive positions in the industry’s largest companies such as Rosuglesbyt, International Mining Trading Company, Krasnoyarsk Coal Company and Russian Coal Company.
