Fats Domino is an American singer, songwriter and pianist. He is a member of the Grammy Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has sold more than 110 million records. His records include The Fat Man (1949), Ain’t That a Shame (1955), Blueberry Hill (1956) and I’m Walkin’ (1957). 35 of his records are among the top 40 on the US bulletin board. Domino was born on February 26, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly known as Antoine Domino Jr.. His parents are Antoine Caliste Domino and Marie-Donatille Gros. He is one of 9 children born in a musical family. Domino speaks Creole and English. He dropped out of high school to pursue music. Domino’s cover of “Blueberry Mountain” was a huge success, with more than 5 million copies sold between 1956 and 1957. Then he released songs such as “I’m Walking”, “Valley of Tears”, “I Love You”, and “I Want to Send You Home”. Domino has released more than 50 albums during his career. He has worked with record companies such as Empire Records, ABC-Paramount, Sunset Records and United Artist Records.
