Fabio Lanzoni was born on March 15, 1959 in Milan, Italy to Flora Carnicelli Lanzoni and Sauro Lanzoni, a mechanical engineer and owner of a conveyor belt company. He has an older brother, Walter, and a younger sister, Cristina, who tragically passed away from ovarian cancer in 2013. Fabio was a small group of parents growing up and often got himself into trouble, but as an adult Fabio is very serious when it comes to illegal substances. An overdose by a teenage friend kept Fabio from participating, and that included staying away from alcohol.
modeling career
Fabio’s modeling career began when he was spotted by photographers while exercising. He started out as a model and movie star in Italy before moving to New York City, where he became a fashion and catalog model for the Ford agency, and began modeling for Gap’s print ads and Nintendo’s TV commercials. He appeared as the hero Kuros on the cover of the 1989 NES video game “Ironsword; Wizards and Warriors II”.
Fabio appeared on the covers of more than 400 romance novels, mostly in the 1980s and 1990s. He was approached by the head of a publishing company that featured him at an industry gathering. Fabio, who has never been married, admits he has only had one love in his life. A woman named Jennifer captured his heart when he was a young model, she was 23 and she was 19. Fabio claimed he was “too young and wild” and after six years together, they called it off. He tried to track her down a few years later, but she changed her number.
On March 30, 1999, Fabio made headlines when he was hit in the face by a goose while riding Apollo’s Chariot roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. The bird died in the collision, and Fabio was bleeding, but only had a wound on his nose. No one else was injured in the unfortunate collision.
Fabio became a U.S. citizen in 2016 and lives in Los Angeles. In 2017, Fabio became the victim of a burglary at his West Valley home. Thieves stole more than $200,000 in items, including a safe containing multiple watches and a collection of gold coins.
