What is Erica Jayne’s Net Worth?
Erika Jayne is an American actress, singer and reality TV star who has a net worth of $5 million. Erika Jayne has had some success as a singer on dance/club repertoire, but is probably best known as a cast member on the Bravo reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
early life
Erika Chahoy was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At 18, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting and singing. In the mid-1990s, she made some cameos on TV shows. She eventually found her way to Los Angeles.
Sometime in the late 1990s, Erika (still under her real name Erika Chahoy) started working at a Beverly Hills bar/restaurant called Chasen’s. A lawyer named Tom Girardi is one of the co-owners of the restaurant.
Tom Girardi has made a fortune as a founding partner of Girardi & Keese, a downtown Los Angeles litigation firm specializing in consumer medical malpractice cases. In 1970, Girardi became famous for being the first attorney to win more than $1 million in a medical malpractice case in California.
In the decades that followed, Tom took on cases against the likes of Lockheed, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Pacific Gas and Electric, earning billions of dollars in judgments along the way. Girardi also took over seven major Hollywood studios. His famous case against Pacific Gas & Electric was the inspiration for the movie Erin Brockovich and awarded $333 million to 650 residents of Hinkley, California.

Erika and Tom started dating in the late 1990s. By the time she was in her 20s, he was in her 60s. Erica and Tom were married in 2000 at the Los Angeles Country Club. At the time of their marriage, Tom was in a dispute with his first wife over common property. According to court documents in the divorce from wife #1, Tom was earning $263,000 a month at the time. Erica and Tom reportedly did not sign a prenup.
Tom and Erica announced their separation in November 2020 after 21 years of marriage.

music career
Sometime around 2007, Erika decided to start a music career. In 2007, she released a song called “Roller Coaster”. The single peaked at number one on the US Billboard Dance Club chart. In August 2009, she released her debut full-length album, Pretty Mess.
Tom provides all the best resources for Erica’s music career. Tom and Erika hired Michael Jackson’s choreographer, RuPaul’s costume designer and composer/producer Andreas Carlsson for Stevie Nicks, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Madonna et al created hit songs.
Impressively, Erika would go on to release nine singles that peaked at number one on the US Billboard Dance Chart. Her music has appeared in films such as The Watch. “Neighbors” and the reality show “Toddlers and Headwear”. Erika started a tour of Asia and developed a small following.

Girardi goes bankrupt
Tom is reportedly working to secure a loan for his law firm as Erika has grown to fame. According to the Los Angeles Times, Girardi estimated his net worth at $264 million in a loan application during the period. The document lists ownership of two private jets, $9 million worth of jewelry, $3 million worth of antiques and various real estate assets, including a Pasadena property that he estimates is worth $15.5 million. He “conservatively” estimated that his firm’s 2016 legal costs would exceed $110 million.
One of his creditors, Law Finance Group, reportedly became concerned when he checked Giraldi’s books and saw millions of dollars being transferred to an entity called EJ Global LLC, Erika’s entertainment company. The total amount transferred was reported to be in excess of $20 million.
Creditors sued for repayment, claiming their funds were used for Tom and Erica’s lifestyle. Tom called the claims “fraud.” They finally settled down.
Other creditors came forward, including a security company assigned to protect their Pasadena home, demanding $53,000, while Tom’s first wife claimed her $10,000-a-month alimony payments had stopped.
One of Girardi’s clients — a man who was burned in a 2010 PG&E pipeline explosion — came forward claiming that he didn’t receive the millions owed to him as a settlement. In January 2020, Girardi agreed to pay the man $12 million, but allegedly stopped payments after only $1 million. The family filed the lawsuit, relying on Girardi and Jayne’s assets worth about $23 million.
In December 2020, Tom and his law firm were forced into Chapter 7 bankruptcy. His creditors include two of his former legal partners, who claim to owe them $750,000 and $1.5 million, respectively. A month ago, a federal lawsuit accused Tom of misappropriating “millions” of dollars owed to customers.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Tom revealed in his testimony in late 2020:
“At one point, I had about $80 million or $50 million in cash. It’s all over. I do not have money.“
Upon inspection, Tom reports that his stock portfolio, once worth $50 million, is now only a few thousand dollars.
According to court testimony from a year ago, a creditor alleged that Girardi transferred $20 million to Erika’s entertainment company. Bankruptcy plaintiffs claim Tom and Erica’s divorce was a “scam,” and she’s sitting on $20 million. Other creditors have reportedly filed similar claims, saying Girardi did not send settlement money.

For most of their marriage, Tom and Erica lived in a 10,000-square-foot mansion on 1.7 acres in Pasadena, California. They listed the home for $13 million in May 2021. According to various reports, if sold, all proceeds will be used to pay off the couple’s debts. Erica reportedly moved out of the mansion the previous year to a rental property near Hancock Park in Los Angeles.
The home was designed by architect Myron Hubbard Hunt. Completed in 1928.
The home is located on a private road above the Annandale Golf Club.
