Eric Holder Net Worth and Salary: Eric Holder is an American politician who has a net worth of $11.5 million. Eric Himpton Holder, Jr. was born in January 1951 in the Bronx, New York. Holder is co-captain of the Columbia University basketball team. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School in 1976.

Holder has worked for the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund and the U.S. Attorney. From 1976 to 1988, he worked in the Public Integrity Unit of the US Department of Justice. In 1988, he was appointed to the District of Columbia Superior Court by Ronald Reagan. He sued Congressman Dan Rostenkowski from Illinois on corruption charges. In 1993, he stepped down and was appointed by President Bill Clinton as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Holder became the first African-American prosecutor to hold the position. In 1997, he was nominated as Deputy Attorney General. In 2009, Holder became the 82nd U.S. Attorney General and the first African-American to hold the position. Holder worked at Covington & Burling and was senior counsel to Barack Obama. He became the first and only cabinet member in U.S. history to flout Congress as a result of the “Fast and Furious” investigation. Holder is married to Dr. Sharon Malone and has three children. His nephew is former NBA All-Star Jeff Malone.
