Emma Dumont is an American actress, model, dancer and violinist. She currently plays “Lorna Dane / Polaris” in The Gifted (2017-) and “Zoe Desaul” in The Gifted [email protected] (2017-). Her performances include the movie Inherent Vice (2014) and the series Bunheads and Aquarius. Dumont was born on November 15, 1994 in Seattle, Washington, formerly known as Emma Noelle Roberts (Emma Noelle Roberts). She attended James A. Garfield High School and Orange County Art High School. Dumont continued to study at the Franklin W. Olin School of Engineering. She participated in the 2013 FIRST Robotics Competition and was appointed as the captain.

Du Meng began to receive ballet training at the age of 3. During her tenure at the Joffrey Ballet School and the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, her skills have greatly improved. She has also received training at the Spectrum Dance Theater School and the American Ballet Theater. At the age of 6, Dumont began performing at the local community theater in Seattle. Some of her theater training is conducted in the iconic Fifth Avenue Theater Building. She starred in the Seattle musical “The Violinist on the Roof”. Her film works include “No Man” (2012) with John Krasinski and Inherent with Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin Vice (2014). Dumont played Melanie “Mel” Segal in the ABC comedy series Bunheads (2012-13). She played “Emma Karn” in the short-lived NBC drama “Aquarius” (2015-16). Her TV works include Mind Games, The Fosters and The Magicians. Dumont currently plays the fictional superhero “Lorana Dane” aka “Polaris” in Fox’s The Gifted (2017-). She played “Zoe Desaul” (Zoe Desaul) repeatedly in the thriller web series [email protected] (2017-).
