He is best known for claiming to have had a six-year sexual relationship with John Travolta in the 1980s, when he served as the actor’s personal pilot. From 1981 to 1987, Gotterba worked for Alto, an airline company, when he and the company terminated their business relationship through a written termination agreement.
After a series of gay scandals in 2012 about Travolta’s interactions with male masseurs, Gottba said he was “reluctantly” thrust into the spotlight by others, at which point he decided to “tell his life story and People involved.
