Donald Glover is an American actor, comedian, singer and producer. His stage name as a musician is Childish Gambino. Glover was born Donald McKinley Glover on September 25, 1983, in Lancaster, California. His mother, Beverly, is a former daycare worker, and his father, Donald Sr., is a former postal worker. He has two siblings, Steve and Brie. Glover attended Stephenson High School, followed by New York University. He graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts in 2006 with a degree in Dramatic Writing.

Glover made her TV debut in Late Night with Conan O’Brien in 2005. He was a writer and executive editor on the NBC sitcom 3’0 Rock (2006-09). He won a Writers Guild of America Award for his contributions. He also made a cameo appearance in 4 episodes. Glover played “Troy Barnes” on the TV sitcom “Community.” The show ran for six seasons on NBC from September 2009 to June 2015. It featured guest appearances by artists such as rappers Chance, Lloyd and Azealia Banks. Other releases from Glover include Royalties (2012), Kauai (2014) and STN MTN (2014). He is reportedly working on his third album titled “PHAROS”.
