Dominic Purcell is an Anglo-Australian actor and producer. He played “Lincoln Cave” on the Fox TV series Prison Break. His film credits include Mission: Impossible II (2000), Equilibrium (2002) and Blade: Trinity (2004). Purcell was born on February 17, 1970, in Wallasey, England, to parents Maureen and Gerrard. He has four siblings, Damian, Marie-Therese, Jaime and Patrick. Purcell grew up in Australia, where he attended Australian Youth Theatre. He also studied with future stars Hugh Jackman and Francis O’Connor at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Purcell made her television debut in an episode of the 1991 Australian soap opera Home and Away. From 1997 to 1998, he starred in 13 episodes of the “Raw FM” series. Other early TV shows include Moby Dick, Heartbreak High and BeastMaster. Purcell starred in the Fox series John Doe (2002-03). He is currently playing “Lincoln Cave” opposite Wentworth Miller on the hit drama “Prison Break.” The show premiered on Fox on August 29, 2005. Purcell’s “Lincoln” won him the 2007 AACTA Best Actor Award. He is also known for playing “Mick Rory” aka “Heat Wave” in “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”
Purcell starred in the sci-fi film “Balance” (2002) starring Christian Bale and Emily Watson. He co-starred in “Dracula/Drake” in Wesley Snipes’ “Blade: Trinity” (2004). Purcell has featured roles in Blood Creek (2009) with Michael Fassbender, Straw Dogs (2011) with James Marsden, and Killer Elite (2011) with Jason Statham. His credits as a producer include Three Ways (2004), Balibo (2009) and Quarantine (2015).
